Neighbors in Action

Neighbors in Action is a collection of those moments behind the scenes where neighbors like you come together to help our neighbors in need. Making those connections has been our mission since 1992.  Over the next year, you’ll see more and more stories like this.

Not even a fire could keep this family down!

Neighbors 4 Neighbors would like to thank everyone that came together to help this family in need.  After a fire ravaged their home, our partners at CBS 4 helped us spread the word.  Soon after The Miami Heat and Walmart jumped into action to help along with many donors like you.

With the funds raised The Mitchell's are able to move back into their home and replace some of the items lost in the fire.  They are so grateful and now they can continue their work running an after school kick ball program in Florida City.  Nothing warms our hearts more than those who give back even when they have nothing.  More proof that when Neighbors come together the impact can change lives.

Neighbors with a Passion for Helping Others

Sometimes we have a person come into our Neighbors 4 Neighbors family, who has such a passion for helping, it amazes us. Steven G is that person. When government workers were furloughed, he stepped up to fund a food distribution for 1,000 families in partnership with our friends at Farm Share.  It was an incredible Saturday as dozens of volunteers, including a team from Interiors by Steven G, packaged everything from Pork Chops to beans and rice, to fresh veggies and fruit.

WWII Veteran Gets A New Roof

We are so proud to share with you the fantastic news that the finishing touches are being done on Mr. Leo's roof!  And soon the new facia will be painted, the damaged carpet will be replaced and fresh coat of paint will finish everything off.  We are so grateful to everyone who came together to make this happen in record time.  Neighbors 4 Neighbors works every day to connect those in need with those who can help and this project is a little snapshot of how we do that.
