To extend a helping hand to disadvantaged and underserved elderly, children, working poor, and individuals with disabilities or special needs; and lead them to achieve personal and financial self sufficiency, so they can become self-assure, productive, and contributive members of their communities.

To-date, STEPS has provided well-coordinated services and assistance to thousands of eligible elderly, family caregivers, individuals with disabilities or special needs, and working poor families with children. These programs were funded/supported in part by outstanding partners such as: Alliance for Aging Inc., Department of Elder Affairs, Florida Department of Transportation, Volunteer Florida, Alliance for Human Services Inc., MDC-Department of Human Services, Alleghany Franciscan Foundation, University of South Florida Lawton, Health Foundation of South Florida, Human Services Coalition, MDC/Public Health Trust, Rhea Chiles Center, United Way of Miami-Dade County, Public Health Trust/JHS, Human Services Coalition of Miami-Dade County, Community Access Program, and others.
