| Fairy Tails is a 501(c) (3) non-profit, no-kill, animal rescue charity in Miami. We find homes for abandoned and surrendered animals, provide assistance to people with animals in need of shelter and care and we educate the community on the humane and responsible keeping of pets. Our adoption events are every Saturday from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Petco located at 12014 SW 88th Street. We bring some of our dogs and cats to show, with hope that they will be adopted. We always need volunteers during our adoption events to groom, feed, and walk the dogs, set up cages, and collect donations. Persons age 18 and up are eligible to volunteer and can also receive community service hours. We visit schools and other organizations to talk about responsible pet ownership and humane treatment of animals. Topics may include dog bite prevention, spay and neuter, the importance of regular medical care, and lifetime commitment to the animal. We bring along some of our adoptable animals and often ones that are adoption challenged. All donations help feed, spay/neuter, provide medical care, support humane education, and find good homes for homeless animals.
