The Epilepsy Foundation of Florida (EFOF) exists to advocate for and provide assistance, education and support to all people with epilepsy and their families who reside in Broward County. In addition, EFOF solicits and receives funds for Epilepsy Foundation of Florida (EFOF), and provides management and administrative support to EFOF’s operations.

Epilepsy Foundation of Florida is distinctive in offering a broad range of program services to its constituency. EFOF’s services include information and referral, comprehensive case management, medical assistance, employment counseling and assistance, as well as prevention and education. Specifically, the mission of EFOF is:

To disseminate information about the causes of epilepsy and its consequences, and the prevention of the condition, to persons with epilepsy, their families and the public;

To assist persons with epilepsy and their families in securing information, diagnosis, treatment, education, rehabilitation, and habilitation services so that they can achieve as much of their full potential as possible through existing public and private programs, and by developing new programs;

To promote, within Broward County and South Florida, the development of facilities and services for effective treatment and rehabilitation of persons with epilepsy;

To improve the public image and enhance the potential of all persons with epilepsy;

To cooperate and work with any health, welfare, education, or other relevant state and local organizations or agencies having similar purposes, or whose activities would further the purpose of EFOF;

Any other purposes permitted by law.

Epilepsy Foundation of Florida is a dues-paying member of the Epilepsy Foundation of America (EFA).
